NEW HAVEN POLICE ARREST SUSPECT LINKED TO DISCOVERY OF DOZENS OF DEAD CATS IN MARCH
(6/9/2008) NEW HAVEN- New Haven Police arrested 46-year-old Dino Cortina Sunday on four counts of animal cruelty. Cortina’s arrest stems from a March 26 incident in which a cleaning crew discovered the remains of dozens of cats at a foreclosed residence on Quinnipiac Avenue. Cortina was the last owner/occupant of the home before it was foreclosed on. Shortly after a warrant was issued for his arrest, Cortina turned himself in and was later released on $5,000 bond.
Officer Anthony Holloman is credited with effectively leading the investigation that led to Cortina’s arrest.
